Home Energy

Residential energy use represents a major portion of Acton’s carbon footprint, and a significant cost in every household budget. Green Acton has worked on a variety of projects to reduce residential energy use, or to switch energy use to cleaner power sources.

  • Solarize Acton: a campaign to bring solar panel installations to Acton residences and businesses
  • The Great Acton Energy Challenge: a campaign to bring free heat scans to hundreds of Acton houses, and to find energy leaks that could be investigated by free energy audits and fixed by contractors from a vetted list of providers
