Acton Town Manager Steve Ledoux convened a small group to prepare a recommendation to the Board of Selectmen about choosing a program consultant for Acton’s Community Choice Aggregation program. The group included Green Acton’s Steve Long, and the Acton Green Advisory Board’s Mary Smith. The presentation is here.

Three aggregator companies (consultants) are approved to work on Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) in Massachusetts. All three have experience with providing renewable energy options to electricity customers.

The group recommended the Town use Peregrine Energy Group; see its CCA page. All three aggregators were considered to be reputable and competent, in case the first choice doesn’t work out. The current schedule envisioned by the Town Manager would have a formal program launch on February 1, 2017.
